HISTORY OF CLINIC DAY for ELECTRIC CIRCUIT II (EEE231)

A program called “Clinic Day” is very synonym with a course that is prominent to have more than 25 percent of failures in final examination. For this Electric Circuit II, it also had been known as a “killer” subject or critical subject because of the high number of failures.

The first Clinic Day in this UiTMT was introduced by Dr. Mohd Zamri Jusoh in 2013 as a Lecturer in Charge (LiC) for this course. All students who had taken this course were compulsory to join this Clinic Day. The concept of this program is just like a study group, but each group is guided by mentors who are chosen by lecturer based on excellent result from tests.

Also, during this Clinic Day they were specially consulted from lecturers who are taught in this course. The outcome result based on final examination from the first Clinic Day was really impressive. The failures percentage is totally below 25 percent for all programs (EE111, EE112 and EE113 programs). Hence, this Clinic Day is being catalyst for next LiC to carry on this super power program because the so called of killer subject is getting dull. Currently, it has been five series since the first it was presented. As an appreciation, the mentors are given a certificate and some of them also got honorarium.

Throughout these five series of Clinic Day, lectures who had involved as facilitator are Dr. Zamri, Ms. Suziana, Ms. Suziyani, Mdm. Nik NurShaadah, Mdm. Syazilawati, Mdm Nuraiza, Mr. Saiful Najib and Mr. Mohamad Taib. Many thanks to all facilitators who had supported the Clinic Day and spent their precious weekend time in helping students for more understandable about this course.Hence, it is hope that this Clinic Day will be continuously held for next semester.
